TRANSMETROPOLITAN

Easily the best comic to come out of DC comics sub print Helix, and best compared to taking a drag on a ciggy. A moment that you enjoy and yet when its finished leaves you wanting more. This is brimming with sardonic humour and inflicts on us the feelings of one recently returned journalist who holds a different perspective to city life than the average numbskull. Written by Warren Ellis this was the first issue of one of the finest comics printed in the last few years preceding the year 2000. This comic book is really for the free thinker. Someone who tends to question more than they blindly accept. Mainly because this journalist, Spider Jerusalem is a loner, someone who sees the faults in a society and acts and does how he pleases. If you find these things offensive than accept you have no life and go read your weak superhero comics.
